Obituary

Mrs. Amanda Folks, age 43 of Florence, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024. Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mrs. Folks was a free spirit. She was strong willed, kind, and hard working. She enjoyed thrifting and restoring furniture, as well as gardening. Most of all, Mrs. Folks loved her children and was a very beautiful soul. 

She is survived by her mother, Shelah McIntyre; sons, Alex Folks (Lauren) and Eli Folks; grandchild, Sylas Folks; nieces, Scarlet Ozbirn (child, Gatlin) and Ivy Hamlin (children, Courtlin and Maddox); nephew, Destin Ozbirn; and uncle, Nick Stone. Shs is preceded in death by her father, Barry Hood; husband, Michael Folks; daughter, Kalli Folks; maternal grandparents, Johnny and Dell Stone; paternal grandparents, Barbara and Travis Hood; brother, Robin Hood; and uncle, Keith Hood.
