Obituary
Ron was born in Billings, Montana and spent his formative years in various locations across the state. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and later studied for an engineering degree at the University of Wyoming, after which he received his commission. Ron dedicated 25 years of service to the Air Force. He was a combat veteran of the Vietnam War. After retiring from the military as a Major, he relocated to Palm City, FL, where he worked for 18 years as an engineer with Pratt and Whitney until his retirement in 1998. As a founding member, he volunteered countless hours to help build Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, where he served as a Eucharist Minister and devoted parishioner.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Walks and Mary Walks, his first wife Patricia Rasp Walks, his siblings Robert (Bobby) Walks, Steven Walks, Diana Erhart, and Roberta (Birdie) Sherman. He is survived by his wife Hue Walks, his brother David Walks (Ann), his sister Sylvia Baker, his son John Walks (Debbie), his daughter Tricia Reynolds (Lee), his grandchildren Laura Walks, Ashley Reynolds, Samuel Walks, Michelle Reynolds, David Walks (Summer), Rebecca Walks, and Adam Reynolds, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City. Funeral arrangements are being made by Forest Hills Memorial Park & Palm City Chapel.
