Obituary
Aiman Ray Harmon, Sr., was born on June 18, 1961, in Muncie, Indiana,
and passed away on August 26, 2024, in Ripley, Tennessee. Mr.
Harmon was big in stature and big in heart. He was a father, son, brother, and
true friend to many who can’t imagine a world without him. He graduated from
Pike High School in Indianapolis and went to work for Mead Paper Company after
graduation. That set him on his career path, and he worked in the paper
industry for 43 years. As he advanced into management he worked with paper
companies in Indiana, Tennessee, Michigan, Georgia, Mississippi, and Oklahoma.
He worked with many memorable people and friends and everyone who met him
always remembered him for his work ethic and determination. He left an
impression on every person he ever interacted with.
Aiman was a loving father, he always put the needs of his children
first. He was a very selfless man and would help anyone in need. Aiman would
boast about his children any time he got the chance. He worked hard but loved
the beach and enjoyed many other things such as four-wheeling and scuba diving.
He raised seven wonderful children on his own and has six grandchildren. Aiman
loved his home in Atoka and had a large collection of Mini Coopers including
his pink convertible and his 1978 Mini GT. He loved to travel and take his
family on excursions and always had memorable trips. Aiman was a collector of
sports memorabilia including cards and had a very prestigious collection.
He is preceded in death by a
daughter, Angela Nicole Harmon. He is survived by, his mother, Kay Reynolds,
and stepfather, George Reynolds, two sisters, Tammi Lynch-Forest and Stacy
Elmore, a brother, Lee Harmon, and his children, Andria Kay Harmon, Aiman Ray
Harmon, Jr., George Kennedy Harmon, Zaquris Aiman Harmon, Micheal Aiman Harmon,
Christopher James Hafley, and Angellina Nicole Hafley. He is preceded in
death by a daughter, Angela Nicole Harmon.
Family will receive family and friend at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501
N St. Rd, 3 Muncie, IN 47303 on September 5,2024 from 12pm until service time
at 1pm. With burial at Gardens of Memory Cemetery follow service at funeral
