Obituary

Carrie Etta Powell, 86, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born August 20, 1937 to Clarence Storey and Mary Virginia Bullock in Dumas, MS. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Tupelo. She loved her flowers and gardening the most. 
She is survived by daughter, Pam Blassingame (Morgan) of Tupelo; brother, Kenneth Storey (Janice) of Tupelo; two grandchildren, Daniel Blassingame (Sarah) and Alex Blassingame (Haley); and two great grandchildren, Bentley Blassingame and Evelyn Blassingame.  
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jonathan Powell; her parents; step-mother who raised her, Coy Williams Storey; and sister, Bonnie Chapman. 
A private family graveside service Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
