Charles A. Valentic

December 11th, 1946 - October 6th, 2024

Obituary

Mr. Charles A. Valentic, 77, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully, yet unexpectedly on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at his residence.

He was born in Brownsville on December 11, 1946.

He graduated from Red Stone High School, class of 1964.

Charles was previously married to Bonnie A. Capin Valentic.  She preceded him in death on September 27, 2000.

Charles was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

He worked for Clyde Mine in Fredericktown as a coal miner for nineteen years.  He retired from United Defense of Uniontown.

He was a member of St. Therese Church. 

He also belonged to the AMVETS George C. Marshall Post 103 and the Hutchinson Sportsman Club.

Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf.  He enjoyed watching all sports, and especially watching his grandchildren play sports.

He is survived by his by two sons and a daughter, Martin Valentic and wife Jennifer, Rich Valentic and wife Michele both of Canonsburg, Julie Tupta and husband Jim; long time, loving partner, Mary Ann Carbonara of Uniontown; seven grandchildren, Josh Valentic and wife Leah of Franklin Park, Nick Valentic and wife Amanda of Washington, Lauren Valentic of Canonsburg, Nolan and Brooke Valentic of Canonsburg, Drew and Abram Tupta of Uniontown; three great-grandchildren, Grady, Parker and Charlotte; and close family, Donna Hidock of Morgantown, and Tom Hidock and wife Peggy of Fairchance.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth.

Viewing for Charles will be at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401 on Thursday, October 10 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 11 at 10 AM at St. Therese Church, 61 Mill St., Uniontown, PA 15401.

Interment is in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Fayette Friends of Animals, 223 Searight Herbert Rd, Uniontown, PA 15401.
