Obituary

David Henry King of Boca Raton, Fl passed away on September 10,2024, he was 88.   
Davids’s father, Henry of county Tyron Ireland, was a manager of a tea manufacturing facility in Assam India. Both David and his younger brother John were born in India returning to Ireland when he was 8. They attended boarding school where they impressed the local boys with their magical spells they could speak, which was a local Indian language. They both loved hunting and fishing, and Dave became a particularly good shot always beating his brother and friends in shooting challenges.  
When Dave was 15 His father became ill and returned to Ireland. They purchased a bar called Harrys in Banbridge Northern Ireland. The family ran Harrys for a few years and sold it after his fathers’ death.  
Dave immigrated to the United States in 1956 via the Queen Mary. David, a sworn bachelor, who wanted to hunt and fish his whole life, met the love of his life and future wife Alice, another passenger on the ship. Alice was headed to America to make a new life. 
Dave enlisted in the Air Force and was coincidently stationed in California 20 minutes from Alice’s sponsor and residence. Dave and Alice married in California; after having their first child, they relocated to the East Coast and had 2 more children. 
David worked at the Atlas Supply Company in Springfield NJ until his retirement in 1991.  He and Alice moved from Pennsylvania to Florida in 1997 enjoying their retirement years, traveling back and forth to England and Ireland to visit family and cruising to several places around the world. David loved to fish, golf with his grandsons, and play cards in his retirement.  
David is survived by his wife Alice, his daughter Catherine and husband James Penyak, his son John and wife Krishna King, his son Michael King, five grandchildren, David Penyak, Kevin Penyak, Brian Penyak, Shayna King, and Lyla King; and three great grandchildren, Aranza Diaz Alegria, Andre Diaz Alegria, and Evander Logan King Seeley his brother John P. King and his wife Christine.

Donations

In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made in David’s name to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Foundation, or Ascension Catholic Church in Boca Raton, FL.
