Obituary
Eleanor Ann Edwards, “known to most as ‘nana,’” Greenwood, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024. She was 80 years old. Ann was born in Frankfort, KY to her parents Everett and Allie Edwards. She graduated from Greenwood High School, class of 1961.
Ann worked as a key punch operator for Western Electric and later Ameritech for 35 years and retired in 1998. Ann was a Christian believer all her life. She enjoyed all types of crafting, knitting, and crocheting. Ann would also fill her time by completing crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles while listening to Elvis, Kenny Rogers, and Robert Redford. She was known to wear mismatched, colorful socks and enjoy a cold Pepsi and Hershey bar from time to time. Ann made a point of writing her loved ones' cards for special events and always enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Ann will be remembered for her feisty personality. She will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
Ann is survived by her children, Barry (Jeni) Fowler, Sherri (Dustin) Wilson; her grandchildren, Bryce (Casey) Peavler, Colin Peavler, Shelbie (Jayce) Kuhn, Andrew Fowler, Zachary Wilson; her great grandchildren, Ethan, Emmy, Kaia, and Mailee; her siblings, Larry (Nyla) Edwards and Brenda (Allan) Fowler; her several nieces and nephews.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents; her companion Jack Milner.
A celebration of life will be held for Ann on Saturday October 5th, 2024 at 843 Wilderness Lane, Greenwood, IN, 46142 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
