In Loving Memory of

George C. Wade

November 1st, 1939 - September 14th, 2024

Obituary

George Claibourn Wade, 84, of Deltona, Florida passed away on September 14, 2024. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 1, 1939 to Ralph and Lena (née Lucas) Wade.

George had a knack for making people laugh and was well known for his stubbornness. He was known most of all, as a caring and loving person with much knowledge to share with anyone who would listen. He made it known how proud he was of his family and how much he loved them. Whether he was adding to his collections in the garage, fishing, talking about recipes he wanted to try, or reading his magazines for the umpteenth time; he always had a smile on his face.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lena Wade; brother Beldon; daughter, LaDonna; and grandson Clive.

George is survived by his wife of 66 years, Phyllis; their four children Tony, Cindy, Kim, and Chris; sister Mary Lee; twelve grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A Celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Lohman Funeral Home in Deltona, Florida.
