Obituary
Giula “Jo” Muskett, 94, passed away from this life on October 1, 2024. A celebration of life be officiated by Bruce Word Wednesday October 9th at Crestwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends and family from 11-1; service will be 1 pm at Crestwood Chapel. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Muskett was born and raised in Glencoe, Alabama. She was a graduate of Glencoe High School. Mrs. Muskett was a certified radiology technologist and radiologist assistance for over 50 years. Mrs. Muskett worked at a number of facilities including Dr. Grady Ford’s cancer treatment center in Gadsden, the Gulf States Steel infirmary, Southeast Whole Body Imaging, Breast Diagnostic of Gadsden, Healthsouth of Gadsden, and Women’s Healthcare Partners before retiring in 2010.
Mrs. Muskett was preceded in death by her parents, Nina Floy and Clarence Lumpkin and husband Horace Muskett, brothers Ronnie Lumpkin, Courtney Lumpkin, Leon Lumpkin, Durwood Lumpkin, and Jimmy Lumpkin, and sister Wanda Lumpkin Wilbanks.
Mrs. Muskett is survived by her son Kenneth Muskett, daughter in law Sherry Muskett, granddaughter Elizabeth Muskett, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Muskett was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Muskett enjoyed Alabama football, cooking and spending time with her family and her friends at Forest Ave Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder and church secretary for many years. Mrs. Muskett was also a member the Pilot Service Club of Gadsden.
