Obituary
Harold Crouse, 88, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2024. Born on November 11, 1935, Harold was the son of Wilber and Nellie (Freeman) Crouse.
Harold was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Barbara (Anderson) Crouse, with whom he celebrated 68 wonderful years of marriage on October 23, 2024. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
After a dedicated career, Harold retired from General Motors in 1991 after 32 years of service. He was known for his warm smile and kind heart. Harold helped maintain Wheeling United Methodist Church and was an avid musician, playing the concertina for several years. He loved to entertain his family, especially the younger ones, sharing his passion for music and creating joyful moments. Harold also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and he was known in his family as a jack of all trades.
Harold is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Crouse; brother, Richard Crouse; nieces, Jerri (Mike) Whited, Joy (James) Lowe, Kim (Dave) Fear, Lynn (Bill) Whitesell, Sharon (Kenny) Jackson, Angie (David) Metcalfe, Jennifer (Kris) Burton, Bridget Brannon and Diana Crouse, Eunice Crouse; great-niece, Jessica (Chad) Henderson; great-nephew, John (Ann) Crouse; and best-friend and neighbor, Larry (Stephanie) Clap.
Harold is preceded in passing by his parents, son, Timothy Crouse; daughter, Kelly Crouse; brothers, Russell Crouse and Earl Crouse; nephews, Russell Crouse, Dennis Crouse, Dane Crouse, and Mark Crouse; and niece, Cindy Crouse.
