In Loving Memory of

Helen Louise Porter

July 15th, 1963 - May 20th, 2024

Obituary

Helen Louise Porter, 60, of Nixa, MO passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Cox South Hospital. She was born on Monday, July 15, 1963 in Dodge City, Kansas to Norma Jean Sims and Murray Allen Carmichael.

Helen married the love of her life, Dale Porter, on June 16, 2001. It is cliché to say your loved one was the best or greatest. But we truly believe in our hearts Helen was the best wife, friend, daughter, sister, and aunt we could ever ask for. She always put others first ahead of herself and gave everything of herself to the things she loved. Helen always had a smile on her face and loved to make others smile and laugh too. She made such a huge impression on everyone’s life that she came in contact with. Most of all Helen loved her family more than anything in the world. Her love, her laugh and her smile will be missed so much.  We love you Helen.

She is survived by her husband and her dog Shelby of Nixa, MO, her parents of Branson, MO, one brother David Allen Carmichael (wife April) of Carthage, MO, one sister Cheryl Jean Carmichael Johnson (husband Rodney) of Portland, MO, five nephews David Allen Carmichael (wife Anne) of Ferndale, WA, Aaron Nathaniel Carmichael (wife Shella) of Carthage, MO, Matthew Todd Carmichael (wife Tiffany) of Springdale, AR, Jonathan Eric Carmichael (wife Katy) of Derby, KS and Jacob Allen Johnson (wife Karyn) of Springfield, MO, three nieces Abigail Rori Carmichael of Springfield, MO, Shannon Nichole House (husband Scott) of Moscow Mills, MO and Larissa Renee Davis (husband Robbie) of Fulton, MO and 18 great nieces and nephews.

Following cremation, a celebration of life service will be held at a later date and time. Memorial donations can be made in her name to Rescue One, 1927-B E. Bennett St., Springfield, MO 65804. Online condolences can be made at www.klingnerfuneralhome.com
