Obituary

James Horace Huckaby, 71, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.  He was born May 19, 1953 to Horace Huckaby and Eva Nell Davis. He was an over the road trucker for years. He enjoyed listening to Conway Twitty, Boating, NASCAR, and took every opportunity to step out and help the less fortunate in any way he could. 
He is survived by his children, Jamie Siddall (Michelle) of Saltillo, Mandy Susalla (Harley) of Shelbytown, MI, Ben Ellis, and Ann Williams; sisters, Susan Smith of Blue Springs, Sandra Stanton of Alpine, and Eddie “Bubba” Abner of Palmetto; five grandchildren, Jacob Siddall, Harley Susalla III, Reese Susalla, Isabella Susalla, and Isaac Susalla; special friend, Sherry McGregor; and lifelong friend, Michael Twitty. 
He is preceded in death by his parents, Horace Huckaby, Nell Davis, and Charles Abner; and brother, Steve Huckaby.
Memorial service will be at 2:00 pm Monday, September 9, 2024 at Lee Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
