Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jonnie LaRue McCarver, who left us peacefully on September 4, 2024 at the age of 80. LaRue was a devoted wife to Gerald for 55 wonderful years, a testament to her unwavering love and commitment.
Born on January 29, 1944, LaRue was known for her generosity and selflessness. She was the heart of her family, making sure everyone was cared for before herself. Her endless love and support were most evident in her role as a mother. Timmy and Brian were the center of her world.
LaRue was also the biggest cheerleader for her grandkids. She attended every event and was proud of every milestone they achieved. She found immense joy in their successes and was a guiding light in their lives.
Her talents extended far beyond her loving heart; she was an excellent baker who delighted many with her delicious cakes and expertly catered weddings. LaRue will be deeply missed, but forever remembered for her caring heart, generous spirit, and sweet legacy she leaves behind.
She is preceded in passing by her parents Johnnie and Vivian Azile Boyles, siblings Jan Boyles, Sue (John) Jackson, and Johnnie Boyles, Jr, nephews Phillip Jackson and Joel Parker, Mother-in-law Alene McCarver and brother-in-law Ronald McCarver.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Gerald McCarver, sons Timmy McCarver and Brian (Amber) McCarver, grandchildren Tristan, Lauren, and Drew McCarver, niece Donna (John) Hansen, nephew Mike (Rita) Jackson, sister-in -law Linda McCarver and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 3pm on Sunday, September 8th, 2024 at Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home. Chris Walker will officiate. Visitation will be from 1-3pm for family and friends. Pallbearers are Tristan McCarver, Drew McCarver, Daryl McCarver, Caleb McCarver, Cade McCarver, Tony Jackson, and Todd Jackson.
Special thanks to Enhabit hospice, Kayla, and all the nurses and aides for their care.
