Obituary

Judy Heron, 74, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024.

The daughter of the late Sarah and Clyde Johnson, Judy was born November 28, 1949, in Melbourne, Florida, grew up in Ormond, and graduated from Mainland High School. She later went through the Daytona Beach Community College nursing program, became a registered nurse, and worked at Halifax Hospital. Judy had a keen sense of humor and a great laugh. She enjoyed going to the movies, going out to dinner, taking occasional trips to Disney World, and attending Florida Gator basketball games. And she never missed an episode of “The Young and the Restless.” She also loved the company of cute little dogs, even if they sometimes pooped and peed on the floor in the house. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. Howard Heron, and is survived by her brother, David Johnson of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; her sister-in-law Nancy; nephews Michael and Eric; and great-nieces Lucy and Winnie. She will also be sorely missed by her friend Tony Redden and his family.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Judy Heron's name to Halifax Humane Society https://www.halifaxhumanesociety.org/donate/index.
