Obituary
Kenneth Obert Noland, 79, of Indianapolis, born on September 2, 1944, gained his much-deserved
angel wings at his home just days shy of his 80th birthday, preceded
in death by his parents, Donovan and Elaine Noland, died Wednesday August 28,
2024. Kenny was a graduate of Washington
High School in Indianapolis and a 20-year veteran of the Indianapolis Fire
Department, retiring as lieutenant in 1986.
He owned a successful commercial painting contracting business spanning 47-years.
He was a loving
husband to his wife of 59 years, Cheryl, a devoted father to daughters, Wendy
Noland, Dawn Skirvin (Darrell), a cherished grandfather to granddaughters
Courtney Souder and Payton Skirvin, and treasured great
grandfather to grandson Maverick Skirvin.
He is also survived by brothers Terry Noland, (Kim), Rick Noland, and Connie
Fiorito, (Dan), along with many nieces and nephews, faithful friends, and
caring neighbors. Kenny is also survived
by his beloved dog, Chuckie.
We will always remember him putting the love of his family
first, his love of friends, golfing, and travels. He was a calming force and a mentor to many
sharing great advice and would always be there to listen and offer
support.
Family was everything to him, and him signing ‘I Love You’
will be a cherished memory to all of them.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 29
at Dyes Walk Country Club, 2080 St Rd 135 in Greenwood, IN. 2-5pm.
