Obituary

Michael Asa Ajay, 84, of South Daytona, FL passed away on August 23, 2024. He was born on June 1, 1940 to parents Albert Asa Ajay and Sophie Ajay Nassra. Michael served in the U.S. Coast Guard and went on to be a Captain merchant marine. He was an accomplished entrepreneur in the oil industry and other businesses. Michael was also a member of the Ormond Beach Elks Lodge and Moose Club. 

He is predeceased by his parents and siblings; Diana Abpo, Alberta Fregin, and Albert Ajay.

Survived by children Park Gardner and Kelly Ackerman, nephew Albert Ajay, nieces Victoria Abpo Hill (Dennis), Diana Abpo Kimmel, and Denise Hamby (Michael). Grandchildren; Kevin Caccavale, Kyle Caccavale, Chad Shaughnessy, Robert Gardner, and 8 great-grandchildren.
