Patricia Ann Kennedy

January 8th, 1950 - August 7th, 2024

Obituary

Graveside service will be at Crestwood Funeral Home on August 9th, 2024, at 4 p.m. for Patricia Ann Thrasher Kennedy, of Glencoe. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service. Patricia passed away on August 7th, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. After a battle with cancer, she succumbed to the disease. Her daughters Sonya Wolfe and Amy Gilley will conduct the graveside service at Crestwood cemetery. 

Mrs. Kennedy, or MomPat, as so many knew her, was born on January 8th, 1950, to H.E. Thrasher and Marnie Lou Walker. She attended Hokes Bluff High School and cosmetology school and worked 50 plus years as a managing cosmetologist. She loved her job and was passionate about it and the customers she served. Some of those she built lifelong relationships with that she treasured throughout her life. She also loved her children, grandchildren and her husband Gary. During their 36-year marriage they enjoyed traveling, gardening, and watching Alabama football with her friends and family.

Preceded in death by her mother Mamie Lou Walker, father Huey Emmitt Thrasher, and fur baby Snuggles.

She is survived by her loving husband Gary Kennedy Sr.; daughters Sonya Wolfe (Daryl Howard), Amy Gilley (Jason); stepsons Gary Kennedy Jr. and Mitch Kennedy (Leeann); grandchildren Byrant Kennedy (Wesleigh), Jay Hardin, Dylan Stone (Kelsey), Colton Stone (Jordyn Alexander); great grandchildren Raileigh Hardin, Skyler Hardin. Marleigh Kennedy, Delilah Kennedy

Pallbearers will be Gary Kennedy Jr., Jason Gilley, Daryl Howard, Jay Hardin, Dylan Stone, Colton Stone
