Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Salvatrice “Sally” Carril of Lithia, FL, on September 20, 2024, at the age of 83.
Sally is survived by the love of her life, her high school sweetheart and beloved husband of 63 years, Adolph “Andy” Carril, Jr.; her children, Josephine Kartheiser (Jeffrey), Mark Carril (Lisa), and Susan Magann (Andrew); her 13 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Vaughan, and son-in-law Michael Vaughan.

Born on April 10, 1941, in Brooklyn, NY, to Josephine and Anthony Lascari, Sr., Sally moved to Florida in 1975. She worked as a Financial Advisor and Estate Planner with Raymond James & Associates for 38 years, eventually serving as Senior Vice President of Investments. She achieved membership in the prestigious Chairman’s Council, the firm’s highest honor.

Sally was a charismatic leader, known for her magnetic personality and unapologetic authenticity. She radiated positivity and light, and her faith-filled spirit was a source of inspiration to all who knew her. Her favorite place was in the kitchen, where she loved preparing meals for her family, whom she cherished above all else. Sally was selfless, caring, generous, and kind. Her joyful and bubbly presence was like a breath of fresh air, always brightening the lives of those around her.

A devout member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, Sally dedicated herself to her faith and her community. She was a beloved Religious Education teacher, sharing her deep passion for Christ with her students. Her service to the church spanned various ministries, and she was honored with the St. Jude the Apostle Medal for her distinguished contributions to the parish.

Sally lived her life with boundless love, energy, and joy. Her legacy of compassion and selflessness will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A Funeral Mass will be on Saturday November 2nd at 1pm at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 10118 St. Stephen Cir, Riverview FL.

Sally’s light will forever shine in the hearts of her family and all whose lives she touched.
