Dixie Scott, who founded Scott Funeral Home on West Interlake in 1962, was an integral part of the Lake Placid community. He frequently donated his time and resources to help many local organizations and contributed a much needed service to the area. He lived in the funeral home with his family until his retirement. Today, the staff of Scott Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory continues his founding traditions by treating each family as if it was their own.
