Willie Laws

January 31st, 1933 - June 27th, 2024

Obituary

Willie Laws, a devoted husband and father, peacefully passed away on June 27, 2024, in Muncie, Indiana. He was born on January 31, 1933, in Saint Charles, Virginia, to Fred Laws and Beulah Laws (Berry).
Willie dedicated himself to hard work and spent 30 years as a supervisor at Franks Foundry, followed by 10 years as a line worker at Borg Warner before retiring. His dedication, strong work ethic, and leadership earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
Willie cherished two passions in life: fishing and his family. He found solace and joy in quiet moments by the water, casting his line and appreciating nature's beauty. However, his greatest joy was his family. Willie shared 66 loving years of marriage with his beloved wife, Mavis "Sue" Laws (Bledsoe), who survives him. Together, they raised a loving family, who affectionately knew him as "Pappaw". Willie's love and devotion to his family were evident in every moment spent together, and his memory will forever live on in their hearts.
Willie is survived by his beloved wife, Sue Laws; his son, Tim Laws (wife, Charlotte); daughter, Terry Windsor (husband, Phil); grandchildren, Audrey McSorley, Brock Windsor, Curtis Laws (wife, Priscilla), Kelli Shepherd (husband, Doug), and Tony Pierce (wife, Jeni); great-grandchildren, Aidan, Skyler, Alex, Cooper, Rylie, Jaiden, Finn, and Sam; brother-in-laws, Larry Bledsoe, CV Bledsoe (wife, Jeanette), and Kyle Bledsoe; sister-in-law, Frannie Laws; and special niece, Sue Conway (husband, Larry)
Willie is preceded in passing by his parents, Fred and Beulah Laws; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Services have been entrusted to Garden View Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM for family on July 2, 2024. The service will begin at 11:00 AM with Charlie Soden officiating at Garden View Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory Cemetery after the service.
